General Requirements:

  • All documents submitted for legalisation must first be duly notarised by a Notary Public and subsequently authenticated by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).

  • Applicants must submit one copy of each original document, including both the front and back pages.

  • The Embassy reserves the right to request any additional documents it considers necessary for review and verification purposes.

The applicable consular fees and additional documents required are specified under each category below:

    • The document must be certified by the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce.

    • £20.00 for a Certificate of Origin with one attached invoice.

    • £39.00 for a Certificate of Origin with two or more attached invoices. The invoices must bear the same date and bill number.

    • The document must be certified by the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce.

    • £4.00 per £1,000.00 of the invoice value, rounded to the nearest £1,000.00.

    • Minimum fee: £35.00.

    • Maximum fee: £2,404.00.

    • The document must be certified by the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce.

    • £174.00 per document, payable in cash or by postal order to the Embassy of Lebanon.

    • Cheques are not accepted.

    Note: Memorandums and Articles of Association are charged separately.

    • General Power of Attorney: £77.00 per signature.

    • Special Power of Attorney: £39.00 per signature.

    • POAs for companies: £174.00

    • Payment must be made in cash or by postal order, payable to the Embassy of Lebanon.

    • Additional fees apply only when a monetary amount is specified in the Power of Attorney: £1.00 per £1,000.00, up to a maximum of £2,404.00.

    Required Documents:

    • Copy of the applicant's ID.

    • Copy of the agent's ID.

    Important: Applicants aged 75 or above must provide a medical report confirming that they are of sound mind and mentally fit.

    Additional Documents Depending on the Purpose of the Power of Attorney:

    • Real Estate Matters: A copy of the property deed or a recent property registry certificate (issued within the last two months).

    • Power of Attorney to Sell, Register or Receive a Vehicle: A copy of the vehicle's ownership document.

    • Banking Power of Attorney: The text of the Power of Attorney provided by the bank, together with the bank and branch names and the account number.

    • Marriage or Divorce Matters: A copy of the passport or identity card of the person concerned, together with details of the relevant court (religious, civil, etc.).

    • Inheritance Matters: The death certificate of the person concerned.

    • Cancellation of a Power of Attorney: A copy of the Power of Attorney to be cancelled.

    • The Embassy reserves the right to request any additional documents it considers necessary.

    • £97.00, payable in cash or by postal order to the Embassy of Lebanon.
