To apply for a new Lebanese passport at the Consulate General of Lebanon, please note the following:

  • The presence of the applicant for a new Travel Document at the Embassy is mandatory.

  • The applicant must book an appointment via phone (00 44 207 229 7265 Ext .2)

  • There are two types of passports (electronic and biometric), each with a different application procedure.

  • The applicant may choose between two delivery options for the issued passport: diplomatic pouch or DHL Fast Track (refer to the processing time below).

  • Fees must be paid in cash (exact amount preferred) .

  • For minors (under 18 years of age):  

  • The presence of both parents is mandatory, or one parent must present a power of attorney from the other.  

    1. In the case of divorce or death, the legal guardian must present valid tutelage documentation issued in Lebanon.

    2. Either parent may collect the passport once issued.

  • Note:

    • Biometric passports have a chip and their numbers are preceded by PR.

  • The Processing Time for issuing a new passport is as follows:

    • Diplomatic Pouch:

    1. Processing time: three to four months

    2. Status: Applicants can check the status of their application on our website. Please ensure the passport has arrived at the Consulate before coming to collect it. Bring your current passport and the receipt issued at the time of application.

    • DHL Fast Track:

    1. Processing time: six to eight weeks  

    2. Application: Applicants may request the DHL Fast Track service by visiting http://fasttracklb.dhl.com. An additional fee is payable online. The DHL document (11 pages) must be submitted along with the passport application at the Consulate.  

    3. Status: Applicants may collect their passport one day after receiving a confirmation email from DHL, bringing their current passport and the original receipt issued at the time of application. 

  • Required documents

    • Proof of residency (Either a British Passport or E-visa share code)

    • Two copies of:

      • The current Palestinian Travel Document (Applicant must bring the original passport).

      • The identity card of Palestinian Refugees, issued by the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, General Directorate of the Political Affairs of Refugees, or a copy of an individual extract of civil status which date of issuance does not exceed three years.

      • Proof of Residency (The UKVI share code something else).

      • UNRWA card (new version).

    • Two recent passport-sized photos with a white background, measuring 3.5 × 4.3 cm

    • DHL Fast Track Service document (11 pages) — if opting for this service, after completing the procedure at http://fasttracklb.dhl.com ( optional)  

    • For minors * the presence of both parents is mandatory

    • Consular fees: (Cash payment or postal order only)

      • Five years: £154.00 (Palestinians registered at UNRWA)

      • Three years: £93.00 (Palestinians not registered a UNRWA).

  • Required documents

    • Application form

    • Report of Loss/Damaged Travel Document

    • Proof of residency (Either a British Passport or E-visa share code)

    • Two copies of:

      • The current Palestinian Travel Document (Applicant must bring the original passport).

      • The identity card of Palestinian Refugees, issued by the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, General Directorate of the Political Affairs of Refugees, or a copy of an individual extract of civil status which date of issuance does not exceed three years.

      • Proof of Residency (The UKVI share code something else).

      • UNRWA card (new version).

    • Two recent passport-sized photos with a white background, measuring 3.5 × 4.3 cm

    • DHL Fast Track Service document (11 pages) — if opting for this service, after completing the procedure at http://fasttracklb.dhl.com ( optional)  

    • For minors * the presence of both parents is mandatory

    • Consular fees: (Cash payment or postal order only)

      • Five years: £154.00 (Palestinians registered at UNRWA)

      • Three years: £93.00 (Palestinians not registered a UNRWA).

  • The Embassy will manually renew electronic travel documents for a period of two years only, provided that the applicant signs an acknowledgment stating their commitment to obtain a new biometric passport from Lebanon within the renewal period. 

    Required documents

    • Two copies of:

      • The current Palestinian Travel Document (Applicant must bring the original passport).

      • The identity card of Palestinian Refugees, issued by the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, General Directorate of the Political Affairs of Refugees, or a copy of an individual extract of civil status which date of issuance does not exceed three years.

      • Proof of Residency (The UKVI share code something else).

      • UNRWA card (new version).

    • Sign a Pledge to obtain a new biometric travel document exclusively from Lebanon during the renewal period

    • Fees: £62.00 in cash

    • For minors * the presence of both parents is mandatory
